A little about me:
I earned a B.A. in Mass Communications and first M.A. in Journalism from Chiang Mai University and Chulalongkorn Univeristy, respectively. Before I came to the U.S., I worked as a staff writer for the feature section of The Nation newspaper in Bangkok, Thailand. I came to the states in 2005 to work on my second Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where, as a graduate assistant, I taugh first-year ESL composition and worked as a writing tutor at the Writing Center.

My thesis, "Transfer of Knowledge from First-Year ESL Writing Classes to Writing in the Disciplines: Case Studies of Writing Across the Curriculum," investigated perceived knowledge transfer from ESL writing classes of ESL students to writing in engineering and business disciplines. My proposal based on this thesis project was accepted for the 2007 Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), and I presented parts of its findings at the conference in March. I also presented the findings of my thesis at the 2008 Symposium of Second Langauge Writing's Graduate Conference.
